Healthcare is a very dynamic field that requires constant up-gradation of various skill sets. There are multiple factors that are constantly integrated and coordinated to deliver desired outcomes of Patient satisfaction reduced medication errors and adverse events. Patient safety, a safe working environment, employee safety, and constant quality improvement are only possible with an Aware, Alert, and Accountable workforce.
To Err is Human, this is the fundamental truth of the human workforce which cannot be neglected to get desired outcomes. Since healthcare is a complex working environment with multiple activities occurring at any given point of time, the incidence of error is quite high in this field and the likelihood of impact is very grave which can range from no harm to severe harm, even loss of human life.
We at R K Devi Healthcare Solutions strongly believe that our healthcare structures, SOP,s processes, policies, and procedures are of no use if we do not have an Aware and Accountable workforce/caregivers to complement the system.
While working with various healthcare units we have realized the importance of training which is a tool to constantly activate the conscious mind, and create patterns and behaviors which will align the caregivers with their work domain. However training alone does not create the desired impact, to make training effective regular evaluation and competency assessment are the need of the hour.
